Does Not Wisdom Call?
Hear Instruction. Be Wise. Find Life.A place to grow.
Renewing the church and its witness
Davenant House is not just a place to learn the right answers or the right ideas. It’s a place for reflection, for questioning, for conversation, for prayer – a place to connect with God, neighbor, and nature, and be renewed for a life of faithful witness and service.
What is the Davenant House?
The Davenant House is a retreat study center located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in upstate South Carolina. Surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation and complete with large wrap-around porches and hiking trails that enable one to enjoy it, the Davenant House provides an ideal location for quiet study, reflection, and contemplation of Christian wisdom, God’s Word, and his works. Add in a nice library of books, good food, and a beautiful facility and all that remains is to fill it with people hungry to go deeper and fellowship together – people like you!

To recover the lost art of conversation – of hashing out important differences respectfully, yet earnestly. To grow closer to God and grow in understanding of His Word through worship, study, and conversation with other believers. To wrestle with what it means to be a disciple of Christ today.
