There are many ways to serve at the Davenant House and we would love to have you experience the joy of serving with us. We would love to host your church group for a work day as there are many projects on the grounds still be done. Ideas for service include:
What is the Davenant House?
Both houses are on a roughly 150-acre wooded estate near Lake Lanier, bordering the Palmetto Trail (South Carolina’s mountains-to-the-sea trail). The woodland, which is renowned for its horticultural diversity, is slated for an ecologically-friendly development project in the next few years, with most of the land retained in a land conservation trust. Students in residence at Davenant House will have the opportunity to help improve and maintain woodland trails on the property and tend gardens to provide some on-site fresh produce.
